You work directly with me, Dominiek — from the first analysis through execution and follow-up. Who else is involved depends on the question: people from your business, colleagues at Simply Dom or additional specialists. I continue to safeguard the strategic and editorial direction.
Close to the operation.
I prefer to work where the real work happens: at the office, with clients, on a construction site, at a trade fair or among products and people. We help weigh decisions in the interests of the business: what helps now, what does it ask of the people involved, and what needs to keep working over time? We stay involved in what follows, from communication to processes and tools where needed. At the same time, my position remains independent: close enough to understand what's going on, not so internal that what everyone takes for granted disappears from view.
Experience since 1997.
My experience spans entrepreneurship, business development, strategy, digital communication, technology, international collaboration and complex business matters. I therefore rarely read a communication question as only a communication question. I hold two master’s degrees in Economics from KU Leuven and am the entrepreneur, founder and managing director behind Simply Dom.
In 2023, I completed a postgraduate programme in Company Law at VIVES Continue Business. It deepened my understanding of corporate structures, governance and shareholders, liability, financial reporting, restructuring and the legal lifecycle of companies. That background is relevant when business decisions also involve governance, risk or legal context.
AI as an extension of judgement.
I use different AI models for research, analysis, structuring, translation, production and quality control. Not by blindly following a single answer, but by applying models deliberately, testing their outputs against one another and assessing the facts and wording myself. Final responsibility remains human.
